Exotics in Australia

Recommended Posts

My older sis is deciding to lease out either the new E55 AMG or Porsche Cayenne turbo before the end of this financial year. Never been in the amg before but have been in my mates cayenne turbo in sydney fkn thing flies and its jst so high roller. Its like everyone get the fk out my way lol. Had voice talking headunit that takes sim cards haha.

my exotic is hummer h2 :D but cant afford that yet so instead of going for a 350 in april, i might suss out the hummer h3

love the look of that challenge!! nice paint job and all.. seen a few nice amg mercedes going round, and the odd lamborghini.. definitely will aim to get one of these toys before I am 35

we had an E55 AMG (V8 supercharged ~600hp) come out this year, verrrrry quick german taxi.

didn't look too bad either.... B)

we celebrated Australia Day long-weekend by flying the aussie colours... in Lamborghinis! :P

the slime-green missile is a 1974 Lamborghini Urraco P250 which has just undergone a complete nut-n-bolt restoration, it's now in better condition than it left Sant'Agata over 30 years ago, a truly great machine.

also rans include a Lamborghini Gallardo SE, Porsche 356 Cabriolet, Honda NSX, and Renault Gordini. :)

for the full story and loads more pics, clicky ----> http://aussieexotics.com/2007/01/28/austra...mborghini-style

what would you recommend for a first ferrari, 348 or testarossa?

never been in a 348 so this is just 2nd hand opinions.... but definitely the 348. it's more the kind of car you can live with daily, lighter, nimbler... the TR is really best left for longer cruises and pleasure jaunts, it's a bit more of a "hero car", at low speeds steering is boat-like and it doesn't like the twisty roads much, prone to run out of brakes. (haven't driven the TR, but been pax in it for a fair bit of hard driving) it's also out of proportion, there's a good foot or more either side of the cabin so i wouldn't want to have to park the thing more than twice a day.

so, if you want to USE the car, get a 348, if you want it just for playing in a couple times a month, the TR is still one of the top 5 coolest cars EVER.

damn i hate gallardos. they looks so weak compared to the murcielago.

the Murcielago is a pure bullet-shape, very simple but very beautiful. overall i find the Gallardo more interesting to look at, it just has so many great details to it, the SE even more so with it's contrasting colour schemes, clear engine lid, black mirrors, black roof, and 10 times more interesting interior (old Gallardo is pure Audi :( ).

Not much use for radar detectors if you're travelling 3 times the speed limit. :P
